The Future
Is Here
Two high powered, young,
and speedy offences took to the field for the “BB” championships.
While both teams sported gifted athletes, they exploited their offensive
talents with different styles. Water Buffalo Qb, Chad Byers, uses a
short gain offense, relying on his quick feet and even quicker release
to make things happen. Meanwhile, Tailgator qb, Craig Mathews, relies
on a deeper oriented offense, utilizing his gifted arm to do so. Contrasting
styles, coupled with gifted and youthful athletes, was a recipe for
a thrilling football game. These two squads would not disappoint either.
Exchanging touchdowns at an almost ridiculous rate, the Tailgators and
Water Buffalos played to a very close finish. In every championship
game there must be a winner, and fortunately for the boys up North,
they would be the ones victorious. The Water Buffalos defeated the Tailgators
34 to 30 and earned their first title of 2004. Congratulations to both
teams for putting on such an excellent display!
