The Tide's
Coming In
With the Legends/Bulls throwing
in the towel, a new team has emerged. Former Legend/Bull half back,
Bryan Valin, took members from the long time Ottawa Demons to form a
new squad that he now throws for, The Ottawa Crimson Tide. Making their
2004 debut in K-town, the Tide made their way to the finals where they
lost to the Montreal Hitmen (a strong team in their own right). Taking
the next logical step in their next tourney, the Tide would find themselves
in the finals against Chris Pedersen and his always-improving Ottawa
Spartans.
Both squads put up impressive offensive
numbers as they clawed their way through their Sunday sudden death match
ups. Though their championship game would offer more impressive offensive
results, it would be from one team only. The Crimson tide exposed the
inexperienced Spartan defensive core, handing them a 35 to 14 defeat
to earn their first title of the season. Congratulations to both teams
for making it to the finals!
