Ottawa has been one of the more popular stops in Trillium history. Not only does our wonderful city offer a nice neutral location for Montreal and Toronto area teams, it offers one hell of an attractive night life for them. Boasting countless bars and shops within staggering distance of each other, "The Ottawa Market Place" is a deep well of things to do. We hope that everyone who came in from out of town enjoyed our city and themselves. Ottawa Nepean Touch Football League Owner and Touch Football Ontario President Ed Laverty shared a few words with us with regarding the Ottawa tour stop.

The ONTFL was once again proud to host this segment of the Trillium Tour. Forty-Eight Men's teams and 16 Women's teams competed for top honors in many different tiers.

A tournament of this magnitude just doesn't happen without the help of many volunteers and staff. My Thanks go out to Brent Rennick our Referee In Chief, To Chad Preseault our ONTFL Graphic Designer, To Sarah Cohen our ONTFL Massage and Physio Therapist, To Ottawa Nepean Canadians who provided the cold beer and warm hospitality and food concessions and to the many officials and volunteers who did their best to make your games and stay an enjoyable one.

My special thanks and appreciation is reserved for exceptional people, namely our TFO staff Don Gerry, Russ Henderson, David Thompson, Steve Morrell, Sean Monaghan and Gord Laverty who continuously contribute to make Touch Football and every stop on the Trilliun Tour a Significant and Special Event for everyone.

Sincere thanks to all local and visiting teams who traveled from near and far to join us for some serious fun and excellent competition here in the Nations Capital.

CANADIANS BRING IT HOME

Riding the great play of their stand out receiver Marco Dinardo and the rest of their intense crew, The Ottawa Nepean Canadians cruised through Sunday to earn their first title of 2003. Though I'd would have rather had seen my myself and my Legends hoisting the "AA" Ottawa title;), it's great that another local team kept it in town. Congratlulations gentlemen!

GAELS DO IT AGAIN

Making their third Championship game appearance in three attempts, the Kitchener Gaels perpetuated their very successful 2003 campain by winning their division at the Ottawa stop. Earning their way up the ranks, the Gaels have been a team to keep your eyes on. Looking forward to witnessing your continued success! Congratulations gentlemen!
