The Kitchener Gaels and their patent small roster, made it to two finals in their first two tournaments. Though they won their Early Bird draw, The St Catharines effort didn't go as well. Ottawa was a different story for this athletic bunch. The Gaels, in an awful downpour, took on the Ottawa Knights in the finals. Snuggled with everyone else under the tent awaiting my own final game, I was able to watch these two teams battle it out to very end. It took the very end to determine a winner. The Gaels marched downfield to score on the very last play of the game to win the "BB" Crown 33 to 28. Both teams should be very proud for being able to get a first down, let alone score any touchdowns in the brutal weather that they were faced with!!
