With four teams dropping down form tier one, the "A" division of the tour took shape on Sunday morning. We begin with the quarter finals;

My Legends took on the team that I raved about in Kingston, the Toronto Titans. This is not a team that you want to face with a full squad, let alone an injury riddled one like ours. Though we got off to a quick two score lead, the Titans never gave up. We had to score on our last drive to take the lead. Leaving them with only seconds on the clock, The Titans were unable to answer, though their QB (quite the athletic specimen if you haven't seen him yet) gave us a scare after he launched a 75 plus yard hail marry to get his receiver close to the endzone on their last play. This was a good hard fought battle that wound up favoring us in the end. WE won 26 to 21. The Bullets lost to home town rivals, The Cobras, in a close 20 to 15 decision. The Ottawa Vikings finished off the Montreal Patriots 26 to 14 and the Ottawa Seminoles defeated the Montreal Hitmen 19 to 13 to cap off the quarters.

The semis was an all out Ottawa fest. We (Legends) battled the Seminoles first. An aggressive shootout ensued. After countless back and forth long drives, quick scores, and shouts of un-pleasantries, we wound up coming out of the game with a 45 to 34 decision to advance to our first final of the year. The Vikings went at it with the Cobras in our other Ottawa showcase. Though the game was close for some time, The Vikings turned up the heat to hand their opponents a 27 to 13 defeat.

Though our team of 10 strong battled two way football all tournament, we were prepared to battle one more time. The Vikings were ready themselves, despite their quarterback having to miss the final game for work related matters. Though we exchanged touchdowns in the first quarter, our defense capitalized on the Vikings qb situation, helping us capture our first title of 2003. Though we (Legends) aspire to be the top team in Ontario, after a injury riddled campaign thus far, we were very pleased to win this one.
