The Burlington Bulls are among many team teams who struggled throughout their 2005 crusade, only to step things up at the end. The Bulls have been famous for posting multiple titles and/or championship appearances in any given season. This past season, however, was a bit of a rough one for this crafty bunch.

The early portions of the Tournament Of Champions play mirrored their Trillium Tour woes. Losing two of their three round robin match ups resulted in the Bulls competing for the “BB” crown. It would be at this point where the Bulls would pull their game together.

The path to Canadian gold was a difficult one for the Bulls. Having to face the Montreal Hitmen, the Mississauga Axemen, and the Montreal Circus Freekes (plenty of high caliber ex Monster Gym players there) all in one day is a lot to ask of a team. Aside from their close battle with the Hitmen, the Bulls would post convincing victories over the others to earn their first title of the season. Congratulations gentlemen! Not only was it good to see you guys in the title hunt again, it’s also good to see you still sporting the flashy new jerseys, although I kind of miss the t-shirts:)
