After posting a breakthrough 2004 campaign, the Mississauga
Cyclones spent much of this season struggling to recapture their groove.
Like many teams in 2005, the Cyclones, despite early inconsistencies,
stepped things up when it mattered most to capture the National title.
This victory had a special feel to it. Not only was it the first for
many long serving players, it was achieved in such a convincing fashion.
Before we get into the details of the Cyclones memorable weekend, let’s
see what else took place in this tier.

One of the most difficult tiers to win is the “A”
championship. Not only is there a wealth of talented teams in this division,
teams who start in this tier must face “AA” level teams
that drop from the elite division. This threat failed to phase the determined
Cyclones who posted an undefeated end result.
TFO would like to congratulate Dale, Jay, Jamie and the rest of the
Cyclones who experienced their first Canadian Championship at the
TOC. You only have to look at the above picture of the Cyclones captains
to see how much this victory meant to them. Congratulations gentlemen!
