On the eve of the Kingston stop some changes were made to the draw that drastically affected teams. One of these teams was the Toronto Landell Lightning. As most know, the Lighting are a team full of speed and talent. Although this group has struggled for early success, it always seemed inevitable that their new faces would eventually mesh and put together a break-out tournament.

Semi-Finals

Landell Lightning 21 vs Scarborough Raiders 13

Mississauga Enforcers 29 vs Ottawa Sarp Seminoles 20

The Lightning were obviously unhappy with the changes, and it look liked they channeled that anger towards Sunday play-off action. The Lighting faced the Scarborough Raiders and the Mississauga Enforcers--difficult tasks to say the least. Although both of these matches were contested, Landell played with a special intensity to win both of them and capture their first title of the season. Congratulations gentlemen!
