The Hamilton Hogs and The Ottawa Outlaws are two teams always on
the brink of exploding towards great things on the Tour. While the
Outlaws may have had more higher level success, the Hogs have been
hungry for tougher competition for some time. At the Kingston stop,
both of these teams faced some difficult obstacles before squaring
off in the championship game.
Semi-Final
Ottawa Outlaws 26 vs
Hamilton Hornets 6
Hamilton Hogs 29 vs
Burlington Jets 20
The Hamilton Hornets and the Burlington Jets are two teams filled
with talented and experienced Elite-level players. For the Hogs and
Outlaws to defeat these two so handily says a lot about their potential.
The Outlaws, in fact, defeated the Ottawa Hellcats (number 6 in the
Province) in ONTFL spring action on two occasions, most notably their
semi-final play-off game. The Outlaws, obviously, have shown that
they can play against top teams.
The Hogs, in their “AC” championship against the Outlaws,
doubled their score, showing that they too can play with the big guns.
This was probably the biggest win for the Hogs in their Trillium Tour
history. Congratulations on your fine performance gentlemen, we wish
you even bigger and better results as the year progresses!
