The Toronto Wildcats made some major off-season improvements. They saw the return of their gifted utility player, Tara Lindo, and acquired the services of the quick-footed, former Rebels qb, Donna Paul. This highly improved roster played to some close results in round-robin match-ups. Although they lost both of their games, they had opportunities to win each of them. The Wildcats went on to rebound in preliminary play-off competition, before dropping another close one in the quarter-finals. That loss placed the Cats in the “A” side, where their fortunes would drastically change.

Ottawa Fury 27 vs Toronto Rush 0

Toronto Wildcats 14 vs Scarborough Raiders 1

After impressively holding the Raiders to a single point, the Wildcats moved on to the finals to face the Ottawa Fury, one of the teams that beat them in the round-robin. The Fury, feeling the effects of playing with 8 bodies in the hot sun, were no match for the fresher Wildcats, who controlled their 20 to 0 decision. Congratulations on your title ladies!
