Much has been said about the Hamilton Raiders and their explosive offense. They’ve been slowly climbing the ranks the last couple of seasons, anxious to face higher ranked competition, and prove that they are, in fact, the real deal. They would get their chance at the Hamilton Bowl, and succeed in doing so, squaring off in a memorable title match against the revamped, and very accomplished Toronto Titans.

The Raiders had their hands full in their semi-final match up against the Hogs, while the Titans had a relatively easy time against the Axemen. The Raiders may have expended more energy, but they didn’t show any signs of fatigue in their entertaining bout with the Titans.

As mentioned, the Titans inspirational leader, Mike Smith, had some revamping to deal with this past off-season. He lost his talented, fleet-of-foot, quarterback of many years, Greg Brown, along with other gifted athletes. Luckily for them, one of the fastest men in football, (former Landell and Trojan great) aptly nicknamed “Roger the Dodger”, was looking to throw for his own squad, a natural fit for the Titans.

The acquisition for Roger paid off very well, as the Titans put up some big numbers over the weekend. Their best match-up was against the Raiders in their championship showdown, arguably the most exciting contest of the entire Hamilton Bowl. This game came down to the very last play, where the Raiders would just barely fail to score in a red zone attempt, crowning the Titans “BB” champions. Congratulations gentlemen!
