As documented in our Trillium Cup newsletter, the Toronto Wildcats had a difficult 2005 Trillium Tour campaign. Despite this, the Wildcats put together a string of fantastic performances to redeem themselves and capture the Provincial title. The championship game from that one definitely ranks in the top five of the season.

Despite their momentum from the Provincials, the Wildcats had a rough start to the TOC. The team that they would face in the final, the Scarborough Raiders, shared their early struggles. Both teams pulled out huge wins in their semifinal match ups, however, which added greatly to the atmosphere for their title match.

Scarborough Raiders 28 vs Montreal Coyotes 7

The Wildcats would continue to find their form as they would shut out the Raiders with a 12 to 0 decision. Even though the Wildcats weren’t competing in the tier they wanted to, ending a frustrating year with Provincial and National titles is pretty sweet. Congratulations ladies!
