The Hampton Rogues made some waves on this season’s Tour. Although they didn’t capture a title, they played in a final (K-Town Classic), and made it to a semifinal (Unionville), losing to the Oshawa Hawks and the Burlington Gators. There’s no shame in losses with such capable squads. With the Trillium Cup as their title of the season, it was a great way for the Rogues to wrap up their Provincial competition. Let’s see who they had to face beginning with the quarterfinals.
Semifinals

Hampton Rogues 35 vs Niagara Muddogs 18

Kitchener Vipers 6 vs Burlington Broncos 0
Finals

Hampton Rogues 29 vs Kitchener Vipers 0

The Championship pitted the Rogues against the Kitchener Vipers. Not only was this the Vipers first championship appearance as well, they also had defeated the Rogues in their round robin match-up, adding attractive elements to an already anticipated final. Although the Vipers handled the Rogues earlier in the tournament, they were blindsided by 29 unanswered points.

The Hampton boys placed a convincing 29 to 0 Trillium Cup title result in TFO’s books, and look to do the same at the upcoming Tournament Of Champions in Ottawa. Good luck gentlemen, and congratulations on your Championship win!
