The Kingston Frogs and the
Forest City Hurricanes sport some youthful and impressive talent. However,
It would be two of the oldest, and two of the most prestigious and well-respected
quarterbacks (Ed Laverty & Barry Hughes, coupled with their mix
of youth and experience) squaring off in the finals. Long time rivals,
and long time friends, Barry and Ed have had some memorable battles
over the years. Playing for Ed myself (my pops) for a number of years,
I was engaged in some of these classic battles. This “BB”
final carried with it the same classic feel as these two took to the
field. Despite their offensive abilities, defense would play the predominate
role in this one. The Cobras two converted touchdowns would spell the
difference, as they would go on to win 16 to 12, earning their fist
