The Hamilton Piranhas were among a number of elite teams making their 2007 Trillium Tour debut. While the Piranhas entered last season with many question marks surrounding their overhauled roster, they went on to capture the first two elite titles, and quickly found themselves in the top spot in the province. While a number of injuries lead to their production and ranking slip, the acquisition of some new talent, most notably Stefan Ptaszek (last months Early Bird MVP), looked solid heading into the Hamilton Bowl.

While the Piranhas displayed some growing pains in round-robin action, they rebounded nicely for the playoff matches. In their next four contests (“A” prelims included), the Piranhas would amass 124 combined points, avenge a heated Irish upset from last year’s Unionville stop, and take the “A” title. Congratulations Fish!
